NORTH CANTON, OH: The Cavaliers had their home opener, at Larry Staudt Field, on Wednesday against Slippery Rock. In an even bout that saw both teams have plenty of chances to take the lead, the 81st minute of the game was the game changer. Fifth year captain, Dominic O'Connor, converted a penalty won by Freshman, Evan Napier, to put the Cavs up 1-0. This was the Cavs first win of the season which also saw them keep their first clean sheet of the season. The Cavs will hope to build on this victory when they take Larry Staudt Field again on Saturday, September 14th, at 7:30 P.M., when they face Bryant and Stratton. This is the Cavs Senior Night and their final non conference match before opening conference play on September 17th.
