NORTH CANTON, OH: The Maroon and Gold returned to Larry Staudt Field against the visiting, Ashland Eagles, in a rematch of last season's G-MAC quarter-final match up. The game was a very close and even contest between the two sides and took individual moments of magic from the Cavs to snatch all 3 points in a 1-0 victory. Midway through the first half of action, goalkeeper, Nick Bertolini, came up big with a crucial penalty save, while Gabe Anderson scored his first goal of the season in the 73rd minute. The Cavs were able to close out the game, securing their second shutout of the season.
The Maroon and Gold travel to Tiffin on Tuesday, September 24th, at 3 P.M., where they will look for their first away win.
