HILLSDALE, MI: Despite the cold and snowy weather in NE Ohio, the Walsh Women traveled north, to Hillsdale, Michigan for game one of their Michigan road trip. Hillsdale's Women's team had previously only lost one G-MAC game as the Cavs came to town.
At the games conclusion, Hillsdale remained with only one conference loss as they held off Walsh's late comeback. Ultimately, the Maroon and Gold had to constantly dig out of the deficit they faced after a slow start, once again scoring only 5 points in the first period. The slow beginning was followed up by 3 stronger quarters by Walsh but wasn't quite enough as Hillsdale maintained a lead the entire game, including making 8/10 free throws in the 4th quarter.
Next up, the Women will face Northwood on Saturday.
