NORTH CANTON, OH: In front of a packed Alumni Arena, the Cavs welcomed the G-MAC leading, Malone Pioneers, on Thursday evening. Walsh had a tall task at hand but looked to snap their current losing streak. Hanging in tough with the 15-2 Pioneers, the Women hung in tight for most of the evenings contest. Forcing 19 Malone turnovers helped stay in the fight. The edge Malone found was in the rebounding battle, grabbing 39 boards to Walsh's 23. The Pioneer bench also helped make a difference, outscoring the Cavs, 23-11.
With the weekend off, the Maroon and Gold will look to regroup as they face Northwood, at home, 2/1. With 8 games remaining, Walsh is in 11th place in the G-MAC.
