OWENSBORO, KY: The Walsh Cavaliers returned to the court, this time at the Owensboro Sportscenter, facing the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers. Previously, the Maroon and Gold had dropped 4 straight contests to the Panthers but snapped that streak today with a 5 point win.
Avenging a slow start last game vs Thomas More, the Cavs shot 57% from the floor in the first period, scoring 20 points. Taking a 7 point lead into the 2nd quarter, Kentucky Wesleyan came clawing back scoring 25 points and taking a lead into the half.
Shooting 67% in the second half and outscoring the home team in both quarters, Walsh earned another conference win, moving to 3-3 in the G-MAC.
Up next, Walsh will stay on the road as they head to Ashland next Thursday for a 5:30pm tip.
