CANTON, OH: Women's Soccer traveled across town to Canton to face off against the Malone Pioneers. The Pioneers opened up scoring in the 17th minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead. They followed up, again, in the 30th minute, through a penalty kick conversion. Walsh responded in the 32nd minute with a Carli Miller goal on an assist from Katie Norris. However, after a hard fought game with lots of attacking opportunities, the Cavs could not capitalize, falling to the Pioneers 2-1.

The Cavs fired 30 shots during the match compared to the Pioneers 7. The Cavs return to the pitch in Crestview Hills, Kentucky on Thursday, October 16th, at 5 P.M. when they face the Thomas More University Saints.
