PAINESVILLE, OH: The Cavs traveled to Painesville, Ohio to take on the Lake Erie Storm in what ended as a tight conference match up. Scoring did not open up until the 66th minute when the Storm took a 1-0 lead over the Cavs. However, Walsh fought until the final whistle, literally, as they scored the equalizing goal through Evan Napier from a Stefan Velickovic assist in the 89th minute of play.
Walsh was out shot 16 to 10 on the night, but only 3 to 2 for shots on goal. Nick Bertolini made 2 saves on the night as the Cavs earned a point in conference play.
The Maroon and Gold return to Larry Staudt Field on October 9th, at 7 P.M. where they will look to avenge an early season loss to the Cedarville Yellow Jackets.
