PUERTO RICO: The 2025-2026 basketball season has tipped off and the Cavaliers campaign started in Puerto Rico. The long distance trip went well for the Maroon and Gold as they earned two wins outside the states. Game one was against University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras. Walsh dominated from the tip, taking the lead just three minutes into the game. it was all Cavaliers from there as they were up 20 by the half and then cruised to the 35 point victory to open the season. Game two of the trip was a different narrative as Walsh grinded to earn the second victory of the season. Going up against UPR Bayamon, the Cavs saw a 15 point lead diminish to 4 points at the break. Quintero Barnett sealed the win.
The Men return to the states 2-0 and will look ahead to three consecutive home games inside of Alumni Arena on 11/19, 11/21, and 11/24. Tip off for all three contests is set for 6pm.
