NORTH CANTON, OH: After a trip out of the country, the Cavaliers Men's Basketball team hosted West Virginia Wesleyan in their home opener. Walsh has dominated the series vs the Bobcats, defeating them, the past two years, by large margins.
Wednesday night in Alumni Arena was the same type of result as the Men cruised to a 100 - 59 victory. Coming into the contest, the Cavs led the G-MAC in points per game. Tonight's 100 point performance will most likely keep them atop that leader board.
The first half was a strong performance but the second half was even stronger as the Men won the first half by 13 but then really extended the lead, outscoring the Bobcats 55-27 in the final half.
Intense and fast pace of play was key for the Cavs as they scored 28 fast break points and forced 22 turnovers.
The Men will return to Alumni Arena on Friday, as they take on Kent State Tusc, at 6pm.
