NORTH CANTON, OH: Led by
Quintero Barnett, the Walsh Cavaliers soared to their 5th straight win on Monday evening. Welcoming 5-1 Carnegie Mellon, the Maroon and Gold looked to stay in sync before the gauntlet of Great Midwest games start on December 4th. The hopes stood correct as the Men used high powered offense to nearly score 100 points for the third straight game.
Taking the lead from the initial tip, Walsh shot 52.9% from the field and forced 22 turnovers in the victory. Up by as much as 23, Carnegie Mellon was able to cut the deficit to 12 points until the Cavs final push earned them the 26 point win.
Walsh will take their 5-0 record into the Thanksgiving break and gear up for the beginning of G-MAC play. The Cavs will travel to Painesville, Ohio to take on Lake Erie on Thursday, December 4th.
