NORTH CANTON, OH: The Men's Basketball team at Walsh University could call themselves "overtime warriors" as they earned their second Great Midwest overtime win this evening inside Alumni Arena. One week ago, Walsh defeated Lake Erie, away, in extra time. Six Cavs scored in double digits on the way to victory.
As always, no night is a night off in the G-MAC where quite anything can happen. That was the case tonight as the Maroon and Gold started hot building a fast 8 point lead in the opening three and a half minutes. The Men built a strong lead, as much as 17 points, staying balanced and consistent in the first half. The Cavs shot an effective 70.4 % from the floor and made 9 three's in the dominating half.Â
The visiting Oilers of the University of Findlay did not go away easy as the final twenty minutes was all Oilers. Slowly, the visiting team chipped away as Walsh was in control, up by 10 points with 10Â minutes to play. Through a phase of bucket trading, Walsh went cold, especially from behind the arc. Findlay took full advantage, taking over the lead with 2:38 to play.Â
In another exchange of points, the Maroon and Gold made key free throws pushing the lead to 3 points. With one final look, the Oilers did not go away as a three at the buzzer was good, sending the game to overtime.Â

Quintero Barnett sealed the victory for Walsh. The Cavs outscored the Oilers 15 to 10 in the overtime period.Â
The Men will have the weekend off as they will travel to Findlay next Thursday for another battle vs the Oilers.Â
