CEDARVILLE, OH: The Walsh University Women's Basketball team fell short against Cedarville with a final score of 59-55 in their latest G-MAC game. Despite a strong effort, the Cavaliers couldn't maintain their winning momentum from their previous victory against Lake Erie.
The game was closely contested throughout, with both teams trading leads. Walsh started strong, holding a narrow 13-12 lead after the first quarter. However, Cedarville surged ahead in the second and third quarters, building a lead that proved difficult for Walsh to overcome.
Izzy Callaway continued her impressive form, leading the Cavaliers with 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting. Emma Dretke also had a solid performance, contributing 12 points and 6 rebounds. However, the team struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 13.3% from three-point range.
Cedarville's KaCee Kyle led all scorers with 17 points, including three crucial three-pointers. The Yellow Jackets' ability to force turnovers proved decisive, as they scored 10 points off Walsh's 20 turnovers.
