NORTH CANTON, OH: In an impressive display of basketball, the Walsh University Cavaliers Men's Basketball team achieved a commanding 112-78 victory against the Ashland Eagles on Saturday. The Cavaliers excelled in both offensive and defensive plays, setting the pace from the onset in the last contest of the 2024-2025 season.
From the start, Walsh's
Matthew Biddell made his presence felt by scoring the first points with a layup, contributing to his game-high of 32 points. The first half saw the Cavaliers establishing a robust lead, closing at 57-33 by halftime.
Kobe Mitchell and
Zack Oddo boosted the team's performance with several made shots from beyond the arc.
The second half echoed the same dominance displayed in the first. Walsh's cohesive ensured the Eagles were kept at bay, with significant contributions from all Walsh players. 4 Cavs were in double figures.
Matthew Biddell led all scorers, while
Kobe Mitchell added a substantial 25 points and 6 rebounds.
Zack Oddo was not only a top playmaker with 8 assists but also grabbed 12 rebounds contributing effectively to both defensive and offensive plays.
The Cavaliers finish the season with an 11-15 record.
