RICHMOND, KY: In the first tournament since Spring Break, the Walsh Women's Golf team competed in a loaded field at Boone's Trace National Golf Club last Monday and Tuesday. With the practice round being washed out, the Cavs played 54 holes in pleasantly nice, midwest, spring, weather. The day of 36 holes was consistent for the Maroon and Gold as they shot back to back rounds of 322. Round 3 was 8 shots higher at 330.
In a field with top teams in the region, Walsh finished in 11th place. #1 Anderson won the event, outlasting Findlay by 7 shots. The top 6 teams are currently ranked.
Upperclassmen,
Sydney Hugo and
Sophia Rosa, led the team while Hugo finished 19th individually. She had 9 birdies in the event.
The Women will tee it up again, at Ohio Dominican's NC4K event, on April 7th and 8th.
