GREENSBURG, PA: The 2025 season came to an end yesterday in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship game. Although the contest ended in a loss, this season was one for the books as it was the most successful season in program history.
The Championship contest was fully dominated by top seeded, Seton Hill. They got off to a quick start and kept on the pedal. A 7 goal first quarter and an 8 goal 2nd quarter buried Walsh, down 15-1 at the break. The Maroon and Gold finally found a grove in the 2nd half but the early dominance by the Griffins sailed them to a 20-5 win.
Parker Stanway and
James Sternberg each scored 2 goals.
Toby Olynyk connected on one.
Joseph Rush scooped up a team high 7 ground balls. In the net,
Alex Movshin had 13 saves.
Walsh finishes the season as G-MAC Runner Up with an overall record of 10-8 and a 6-3 conference record.
As the season wrapped up, the All-Conference teams were announced with
James Sternberg making First Team and
Mike Sawulak making Second Team.
