NORTH CANTON, OH: 2 former Walsh Cavaliers heard their names called last night in the Major League Rugby Draft. Remy Thomson and Lachlan McDonald were both drafted in the third round on Thursday night.

McDonald was the 23rd pick in the third round, now joining the Chicago Hounds. Thomson earned the 26th pick and is headed to the New England Free Jacks. Both Men were apart of the 2023 NCR D1 National Championship when the team formerly competed at Notre Dame College. 

Major League Rugby was founded in 2017 and features eight teams, spanning across the United States.
