NORTH CANTON, OH: The Men's Soccer team completed the Walsh Soccer program sweep of the Tiffin Dragon's on Thursday night. The Cavs battled to a 1-0 victory, piggy backing the Women's teams win of 2-0. This was the Men's first win over Tiffin since 2021. This tallied the first G-MAC win for Walsh and handed the Dragon's their first G-MAC loss.
Luck was a bit on the Maroon and Gold's side as Tiffin missed key tries, going 2 for 9 with shots on goal.
Nick Bertolini, Walsh Keeper, also held the Dragon's offensive efforts at bay with two saves.
Gabe Anderson connected with
Alvaro Gidron on the winning goal which happened in the 35th minute. Gabe is Walsh's leading scorer with three goals on the season.
The Cavs will take this huge victory into a week off as their next competition will be against the University of Findlay Oilers, in Findlay, next Thursday. Kickoff is set for 1pm.
