NORTH CANTON, OH: The 19th ranked Walsh Men's Basketball team won a non conference game on Tuesday night. The Cavs welcomed Great Lakes Christian College from Lansing, Michigan, a game that was rescheduled due to weather from January. Despite a slow start with uncharacteristic sloppy play, the Maroon and Gold found their grove in the 36 point win.
Ultimately having control the entire contest, Walsh saw a 13 point lead go to 7 in a short span of time. A three from
Kaleb Schaffer gave the Maroon and Gold momentum into the second half with an 11 point lead.
The second half was all Cavaliers as a 15-0 lead ended any hope for Great Lakes Christian to complete an upset win. Another run of 6 straight pushed the lead to over 30, where it would stay for the rest of the game. The second half consisted of outscoring the Crusaders 48-23.
The Men return to G-MAC play on Saturday as they host Cedarville at 3pm.
