NORTH CANTON, OH: Walsh Women's Basketball suffered a hard fought loss against the Northwood Timberwolves on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers knew they would have to convert buckets and take advantage of Timberwolf mistakes to stay in the game. Northwood is led by a power guard/post duo which has led them atop the conference leader board.
To open the game, the Cavaliers made four threes on their way to a 19-18 lead after 10 minutes. Despite matching the same effort in the 2nd quarter, Northwood exploded for 32 points, taking control of the game. From there, the Cavs competed but then got behind by 17. Despite the deficit, Walsh cut it to 10 points but could never quite stop the visitors high powered offensive effort, falling 95-77.

The Women will travel south to Thomas More on Thursday before facing Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday. As of 2/7, the Cavs are 8th in the G-MAC.
