INDIANAPOLIS, IN: For the second time in the NCAA era, Walsh University will be hosting the NCAA DII Midwest Regional Tournament. The 27-3 Walsh Men's Basketball program enters the NCAA Tournament seeded 1st in the Midwest Region. This seeding was well earned for the Cavs as they won the G-MAC Regular Season as well as the G-MAC Tournament.
Entering the conference tournament ranked 5th in the region, Walsh moves up five spots taking the top seed. The following teams will also be making the trip to North Canton to participate in the tournament:
#2 Grand Valley State
#3 Michigan Tech
#4 Rockhurst
#5 Northern Michigan
#6 Lake Erie
#7 Ashland
#8 William Jewell
Games in will tip off in Alumni Arena starting Saturday, March 14th!
Teams who advance will play in the regional semifinals on Sunday, March 15th with the regional championship scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th.
The Walsh Cavaliers are set to take on #8 William Jewell on the 14th in Alumni Arena!
