NORTH CANTON, OH: Walsh Women's Lacrosse welcomed two G-MAC foes to Larry Staudt Field last week. Ashland and Tiffin were the familiar conference opponents as the 2026 regular season is quickly coming to a close. The Cavaliers took two losses; 19-5 to Ashland and 18-10 to Tiffin. The Ashland Eagles are currently tied for first place with Findlay as most teams just having one conference game left.
Coming up next, the Women will play a meaningful game vs rival, Malone, on Wednesday, April 15th at 4pm. The winner will secure the 4th seed and host the G-MAC quarterfinal game on April 25th.
VS ASHLAND, SCORE: AU 19 - WU 5
- The Eagles put up 10 goals in the first quarter, creating a deficit to big to overcome for Walsh.
- Jossalyn Welch and Trinity Stowell each had two points; Welch 1 goal/ 1 assist, Stowell 2 goals.
- Stowell led the team with 3 ground balls and 4 draw controls.
VS TIFFIN, SCORE: TU 18 - WU 10
- Despite being down 3-0 after the first quarter, Walsh scored 6 goals in the second quarter, earning a 6-5 halftime lead.
- The second half was all Tiffin as the outscored the Cavs 13-4.
- Olivia Price had 3 goals but Jossalyn Welch led in points with 4. Welch also had 4 ground balls.
- Alexa Panetta had 4 ground balls, 2 caused turnovers, and 2 draw controls.
