GREENSBURG, PA: The 2026 Men's Lacrosse season ended on Wednesday evening as the Cavs fell to Seton Hill, 20-5. The Men knew that they had a tall task at hand as Seton Hill was the #1 seed and was a perfect 10-0 in conference play.
The Maroon and Gold started hot scoring 2 goals in the first three minutes of the game. The Cavs held that lead almost the entire first quarter until the Griffins scored 3 goals in the final 2 minutes of the quarter to take a 4-2 lead. After that, it was all the #1 seed as they went on a 5-0 run. Walsh was down 12-3 at halftime.
Garrett Kessling,
Ty Pilkington, and
Holton Marshall connected with the back of the net to get Walsh to 5 total goals.
Kessling and Marshall led the Cavs with 2 points each.
Luca Grilli had 8 ground balls and 5 caused turnovers to lead the defense.
Austin England had 16 saves in his busy day in net.
Along with semifinal play, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference released their All-Conference honors Wednesday afternoon.
Maguire Smith earned All-Conference First Team while
Garrett Kessling earned the Elite 26 award, an award given to the Student-Athlete with the highest GPA in their respective sport.
Maguire Smith, a Senior, Long Stick Midfielder, finished the season with 69 ground balls and 30 caused turnovers.
The Cavaliers finish the season 9-9 and 7-3 in the G-MAC.
