MASON, OH: The 2026 Baseball campaign wrapped up at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament. Entering as the #2 seed in the event, the Cavaliers faced Hillsdale in the opening game on Wednesday. Despite scoring on a wild pitch to open the scoring, Hillsdale responded with two runs in the third inning and one in the fourth. Facing a 3-1 deficit in the 7th,
Chris Kramer scored on a
Bryce Broom sac fly to cut it to a run. The Chargers struck again in the 8th, going up 4-2. The last two at bats for the Maroon and Gold could not bring anything across the plate putting Walsh in the losers bracket.
In game two of the tournament, the Men would look to keep their season alive against Northwood, the reigning G-MAC Champs. In a game full of goose eggs, the Cavs struggled to bring runners in as they left 11 on base. Walsh crossed one over in the bottom of the ninth but a
Mason Stoldt pop up ended the season.
Walsh ends the season 24-23 overall and 19-11 in the G-MAC.
