BIG RAPIDS, MI: Golf season is in full swing for the Walsh Men's and Women's programs as they competed in their first event of the fall. The 54 event at Ferris State was hosted at Katke Golf Course. 

The Men's team finished 8th out of 10 teams with rounds of 306, 307, and 302. Fellow G-MAC teams, Cedarville, Ohio Dominican, and Northwood finished just above the Cavs with 5th, 6th, and 7th place finishes. Host, Ferris State, won the event with rounds of 281, 296, and 287. 

The Women finished 10th out of 10 teams. The shot rounds of 347, 355, and 348. McKendree won the tournament with G-MAC member, Northwood, finishing tied for 2nd. 

Next, the Women will play an 18 hole event at Glenmoor Country Club on September 17th followed by an event at Wayne State on the 21st and 22nd. The Men play at the UIndy Fall Invitational on the 21st and 22nd. 

FOR THE MEN
PLACE: 8th out of 10
SCORES: 306, 307, 302

• Brogan Sullivan led the Cavs finishing 20th overall. His rounds were 73, 75, and 75.
• Brodi Foster and Thomas King tied for 40th. King constantly improved with rounds of 81, 77 and 74. Foster's rounds were 75, 79, 78.

FOR THE WOMEN
PLACE: 10th out of 10
SCORES: 347, 355, 348

• Ashlee Garner led the team finishing 33rd overall. She fired rounds of 85, 84, and 80\
• Gabriella Berlingieri had rounds of 86, 84, and 83 for a 37th place finish.
