PAINESVILLE, OH: Cavalier Volleyball completed the season sweep of Lake Erie on Tuesday night. Previously, the Cavs defeated the Storm, at home, 3-1. Tuesday in Painesville was not much different as the Cavs were once again victorious, 3-1.
Set one saw a quick Walsh lead as much as 19-11. The Storm put pressure on the Cavs, coming back within two points. A kill from
Maria Montseny secured the match point. Set two was a different story as Lake Erie controlled much of the set. Walsh came within three towards the end but it was not enough as Lake Erie took the set. The final two sets were all Maroon and Gold as the Cavs built big leads as they secured the overall match win.
The team will return to the Cecchini Center on Saturday for a non conference match vs Charleston. The first serve is set for 4pm.
