MAROON AND GOLD GET BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN VS CAL PA

NORTH CANTON, OH: Walsh Volleyball picked up its eighth win of the season on Tuesday night, defeating California PA, 3-1. The Cavaliers took the first set 25-17, dropped the second 25-20, and then closed out the match with back-to-back 25-15 and 25-16 victories.

Walsh came out strong in the opening set, battling through an early 4-4 tie before building a lead. The Cavaliers used a stretch of strong attacking and defensive play to take control, eventually pulling ahead 13-9. Walsh continued to add to its advantage and closed the set 25-17.

California PA responded in the second set, taking an early lead before Walsh battled back. The Cavaliers stayed within striking distance throughout the set, but the Vulcans maintained control down the stretch and evened the match with a 25-20 win.

The Maroon and Gold answered immediately in the third set. Walsh built an early advantage and continued to apply pressure at the net. The Cavaliers created separation late, pushing their lead to 20-14 before closing out the set 25-15 and taking a 2-1 match lead.

Walsh carried that momentum into the fourth set.  A strong stretch at the service line and continued attacking success helped the Cavaliers build a 16-8 advantage. California PA attempted to rally, but Walsh continued to control the set and finished the match with a 25-16 victory.

The Women will return to The Cecchini Center on Friday when they host Ohio Dominican at 6pm.
