Coach Daniel Matea serves as the Outside Linebackers, and is entering his 2nd season with the Cavaliers. He started his coaching career as a volunteer with the Cavaliers in the spring of 2023, and was quickly hired as the Outside Linebackers Coach by August of the same year.

As a native of Stark County, Daniel Matea attended Canton McKinley High School before spending 15+ years in the private sector as an operations manager, as well as other key leadership roles.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration & Management, and is also the Founder, and CEO, of Heart and Soles Ministries, an international charity dedicated to giving shoes to kids in need all over the world.
