Mark Schwitzgable is in his 3rd season at the helm for Cavalier Women's Basketball.
In 2022, Schwitzgable will become the tenth head coach in the program's history, dating back to 1979.
Before leading the Cavs, Mark spent seven years as an assistant women's basketball coach at the Division I and II levels. He comes to North Canton from Valparaiso University, where he was an assistant coach for the last three seasons. With the Beacons, Schwitzgable was a part of a program with three consecutive appearances in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
Before his time in Indiana, he was at Urbana University as an assistant women's basketball coach and the head women's golf coach for two years.
Schwitzgable's first foray into coaching was with his alma mater Ohio University. Following his undergrad days as a student manager, he returned to the Bobcats as a graduate assistant. As a GA, he assisted with analytics for the program that made two appearances in the WNIT.
He graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Marketing and Sport Administration and followed up with a Master's of Sport and Recreational Sciences in 2017. Schwitzgable resides in North Canton with his wife and son.
