Walsh University

Newkirk is no stranger to the program, having suited up in Maroon and Gold as a Student-Athlete for four seasons from 2016-2020. 

During her time as a Cavalier, Newkirk was part of a historic era for the program, contributing to back-to-back G-MAC Championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances. Her leadership helped guide the team to a record-setting 28-2 season — the best in program history.

Ty earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Walsh in 2020, followed by a Master of Education in Sport Management from Cleveland State University in 2023.
