NORTH CANTON, OH: The 2025 Cross Country season starts up very soon and the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their preseason rankings this week. The Walsh Cavaliers saw both programs high in the rankings with the Women ranked 4th and the Men 5th in the Midwest region. Nationally, both programs were tabbed 21st in the country! 

The Women's program is coming off a Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship in 2024 and returns four All-Conference selections in Bella Graham, Alyssa Stoner, Claire Rethman, and Bailey Menegay. With 8 new comers, the Women are primed to defend their title in a few months in Midland, Michigan.

The Cavalier Men will look to return to the top of the G-MAC after a 3rd place finish at the conference meet last season. 6 of the past 8 seasons, the men have earned the top spot as conference champions. They return three All-Conference members in Xavier Foehl, Alex Keller, and Theo Papas. The 7 new Cavs will look to immediately contribute to the programs historical success! 

Both teams will line up at the starting line, for the first time this season, at the RMU Colonial Invitational, on Friday, September 12th!
