(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh recovered from Thursday's loss in a big way with a 96-70 thrashing of Tiffin Saturday afternoon at Alumni Arena. The Cavaliers (13-5, 7-5) played well in all facets of the game as they shot over 50 percent for the game and forced the Dragons (4-14, 3-9) into 24 turnovers.

It didn't take the Cavs long to pull away in the early moments of the game as Kelsey Funderburgh (5-7, Jr., North Lewisburg, OH/Triad) hit three of her team-high 18 points on a jumper to break the last tie of the game and give Walsh a 9-6 lead with 16:10 left in the first half. It was in the middle of a 11-0 run capped by another 3-pointer by Allison Butler (5-5, Fr., Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Luers) to make the score 15-6.

The momentum never left Walsh's side. At halftime, it led 45-28, and the domination continued through the second half. The Cavs led by as many as 30 after Alex Hochstedler (5-9, Fr., Fishers, IN/HS) scored a trey to make the score 68-38 with 12:43 to go in the game.

Overall, the Cavs shot 53.5 percent as they sank 38-of-71 from the field. They burned down the nets in the second half with an amazing 60.6 percent clip with 20-of-33 shots made.

Jalynn Graham (5-5, So., Columbus, OH/Central Crossing) recorded her second-straight double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. She made eight of her 11 attempts on the night. Hochstedler finished with 13 points and Brittni Clopton (5-11, Fr., Ft. Wayne, IN/South Side) added 12 to round out the Cavs' quartet of double-figure scorers.

The inside game was a big part of the Cavs' offense as they outscored the Dragons 46-26 in the paint. Turnovers also hurt Tiffin as Walsh took advantage of the miscues with 29 points compared to the Dragons' 14 off the change of possession.

The Dragons were paced by Kaylee Patton with a game-high 25 points.

The Cavs will return to action on Thursday as they host Findlay. Tip-off with the Oilers is set for 5:30 p.m.
