Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh fell to visiting Grand Valley State 64-50 in GLIAC action at Alumni Arena Thursday evening. The Cavaliers drop to 5-6 overall and 3-4 in the conference. The Lakers improve to 10-3 overall and 4-3 in the GLIAC.
Zac Carter paced the Cavaliers' offense with 19 points and Jesse Hardin Jr. followed with 12 points. Chall Montgomery helped the Cavaliers defensively with a team-high eight rebounds.
It was a defensive game throughout as both teams were held below their offensive average in the game. Grand Valley was aided by its interior game, however, as 40 of its points came in the paint.
Chaz Rollins led the Lakers with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Walsh returns to action on Saturday as it takes on Ferris State. Tip-off with the Bulldogs is set for 3 p.m.
