(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – It didn't take long for Walsh to start scoring against Lake Erie in its first game at home in three weeks. Once the first goal was scored just over 10 minutes into the game, the Cavaliers (10-3-1, 9-2-1) poured it on the Storm (5-8-1, 4-7-1) to the tune of 7-0 by the end of full time.

It's the third consecutive win for the Cavaliers who have now outscored their opponents 17-4 over that stretch. It's the second-most goals the Maroon and Gold have scored this season just shy of the eight that started this recent streak.

As with quite a few of their high-scoring games this season, a different player was responsible for scoring each goal. Tarah McCausland opened the flood gates with a header in the 11th minute on a helper from Hannah Bowman. Just over six minutes later, Ashley Dobbins found the back of the net by way of Erica Hafer.

From there, Brianna Sanborn made it 3-0 on another header on a cross near the end line from Olivia Peters at 23:27. Peters wasn't done as she went on to set up the next two goals. Her second assist allowed Dobbins to one-touch onto Alisha Himes who made it 4-0 just over a minute later, and her third assist set up Alexis Meffert in the 32nd minute.

Sydney Santaguida capped the first half with a goal on a free kick from the left side just before the end of the frame, and Natalie Dignan closed the scoring in the final minute on a cross from Ana Bair.

Walsh outshot Lake Erie 30-7 in the game and recorded its eighth shutout of the season and seventh in G-MAC games. Three goalies combined for the clean sheet with Mickey McClanahan getting the start and the win. Maura Hickey and Shelby Elder split time in the second half with Hickey making all three saves in which the Storm had a shot on goal.

The Cavs will look to make it four-straight and improve its postseason positioning as they host Ursuline for Senior Day on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff with the Arrows is slated for 1.
