Box Score TIFFIN, Ohio - The Walsh University women's basketball team faced the Tiffin Dragons in their second conference matchup of the season, early this afternoon. The Cavaliers went on a 3-0 run to start the game and never looked back as they led the entirity of the contest. Five Cavaliers reached double figures in the 89-58 victory. The win lifts Walsh to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in the G-MAC.
Mayci Sales led the Cavaliers' offense with a 19 point and 11 rebound double-double. Sha Carter was just shy of a double-double as she chipped in 19 points and grabbed nine boards. Megan Ball moved into a starting role for the game, as Kimmie Borck was out with an injury. Ball held her own as she played 34 minutes and scored 16 points, while securing six rebounds.
Lexie Scarton added 13 points and dished out a game-high six assists. Jamie Halloran had a solid game off the bench as she rounded out the double-digit scorers with 11 points, while also leading both teams in steals with four on the day.
Only two Dragons scored in double figures, with Aarion Nichols chipping in a team-best 13 points.
Walsh has a quick turnaround as they head to Ohio Dominican on Monday (Dec. 16) to face the Panthers at 3:00 pm.
