Box Score NORTH CANTON, OHIO- The Walsh University Men's Basketball team locked in win number 6 on the season as they defeated the Barons of Franciscan 107-71 on Thursday(December 16th) in Alumni Arena. All-star Cav guard, Darryl Straughter, secured his 3rd place spot on the Cavaliers all-time scoring list after he drained a 3 at the start of the game. The Cavaliers put on an offensive performance for all in attendance at their last home game before Christmas.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:
- Darryl Straughter had everyone on their feet during the Thursday afternoon showcase. Shooting 50% from behind the arc, Straughter racked up 18 points in 3-pointers alone.
- Straughter ended the day with 21 points for the Cavs.
- Securing the solo reign as the 3rd all-time scorer in the history of the program, Straughter ended the game with a total of 1,833 points. He nudged off current head coach and former Cavalier standout, Jeff Young.
- Young previously held the third place spot with a total of 1,814 points.
- Coming off the bench, Brent Walker and Tim Smith Jr. each tallied 15 points.
- Walker would go on to add 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Smith racked up 7 boards, 5 assists and 1 steal during the win.
- Milan Square threw up 12 points on the board for the Maroon and Gold. Square connected on 2 of 3 shots from behind the arc and also pulled down 5 rebounds.
- Owen Hazelbaker paced the Cavaliers with 9 rebounds. He also added 10 points and 3 assists.
- Caleb Canter pulled in 6 defensive rebounds against the Barons, added 9 points and led the Cavs with 7 assists.
- From the bench, Quentin Toles tallied 11 points, draining 3 of 6 shots from behind the arc.
- The Maroon and Gold out-rebounded the Barons a whopping 56-27.
FOR THE BARONS:
- Josh Zimmerman guided the Barons with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals.
- Colton Hage notched 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
The Maroon and Gold are packing their bags and heading to the Sunshine State where they take on Palm Beach Atlantic, Sunday December 19th.
