Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, FL- The Walsh University Men's Basketball team traveled to the sunshine state over the weekend to take on Palm Beach Atlantic. The Cavaliers narrowly avoided defeat on Sunday(December 19) after a late run by the Sailfish but were able to hold onto the lead. The Cavs won 67-65 in their last game before Christmas.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:
- Darryl Straughter, just shy of another careeer double-double, guided the Cavaliers once again.
- Straughter tallied 18 points, 12 of which came from deep behind the arc. Straughter also pulled down 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
- Caleb Canter threw up 15 points on the board for the Cavs. Canter would connect on 7 of 9 shots attempted.
- Canter also tallied 5 rebounds and 1 assist in the Cavalier win.
- Milan Square put in work to get both the defensive and offensive boards. Square pulled down 8 rebounds while also adding 5 points, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block.
- Coming off the bench, Derek Emelifeonwu scored 9 points for the Cavs.
- The Cavs out-rebounded Palm Beach 41-31 for the day.
FOR THE SAILFISH:
- Jules Jasmin racked up 20 points for the Sailfish.
- Jasmin also added 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist.
- Will Lee pulled down 7 rebounds on the day while also adding 14 points.
The Maroon and Gold take some time off for the holiday season but look forward to getting back to conference action when they battle the Eagles from Ashland University on Friday, December 31st in Alumni Arena.
