TIFFIN, Ohio- The Walsh Cavaliers Women's Basketball team defeated the Tiffin University Dragons Saturday afternoon (Feb. 20th) for their seventh consecutive win.  The Cavaliers improved to 14-4 on the year.

Walsh maintained their lead throughout the entire matchup, outscoring Tiffin 21-11 in the first quarter.  Mayci Sales, Megan Ball, and Abby Hickey all scored in the double-digits. Sales led the charge at 18 points, shooting 8-12 from the field.  Junior Megan Ball tabbed 14 points and Redshirt- Freshman Abby Hickey contributed 11 points.  Sales, along with Lexie Scarton, led the team in rebounds at seven a piece.  Scarton also led the team in assists as she dished-out seven on the day.  

The Cavalliers outrebounded the Dragons 30-22, while forcing 13 turnovers.  Walsh also shot 54.7 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the charity stripe.  

Tiffin was led by guard Aarion Nichols as she led all-scores at 19.  Nichols shot 9-16 from the field at 56.2 percent. 

A win over Tiffin has allowed the Cavs to move up in the G-MAC rankings to number two, behind Cedarville.  Walsh will take on cross-town rival Malone University in hopes of obtaining their fourth-straight Mayor's Cup Tuesday, February 23rd at Osborne Hall.
