KENOSHA, WISCONSIN- The Walsh University Cross Country teams continued their Fall success as they competed in the NCAA DII Midwest Regional Tournament today in Wisconsin. The Regional event, hosted by Wisconsin Parkside, was run at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross-Country Course in less than desirable conditions; below freezing temps, high winds and snow.
With the Cavaliers third place team finish, the Men have automatically qualified to compete in the National Championship for the fifth year in a row. With 118 total team points, the Cavalier men locked in their spot to head West to Seattle and represent the Cavaliers on the National stage. Another dominating performance by Zach Kreft during the 10k race would have him standing on top once again for the Cavs. Kreft left Wisconsin as the Midwest Regional Champion after crossing the finish line with a final race time of 30:45.33. Along with Kreft, teammates Nathan Moore and Julian Shrock also received All-Region honors for their Top 25 finishes.
