WALSH HAS STRONG SHOWING AT GVSU AND MOUNT UNION

ALLENDALE, MI AND ALLIANCE, OH: After the rust was shaken off the last weekend, the Cavs did a great job improving on marks before heading into Christmas Break. A small group headed up to Allendale, MI to the Grand Valley Holiday Open on Friday. Kya Epps took 2nd in the 60m and 200m, Claire Martin took 2nd in the Triple Jump, and Micah Gremling took 3rd in the 60m. Heading to the Mount Union Toy Invite, Toni Denmark took 3rd in the High Jump, Tatum Miller took 3rd in Shotput, and Anna Negulic took 2nd in the Triple Jump. On the men's side, Brody Pumneo took 2nd in the 800m, Kayden Schoelles took 1st in the Mile, and Dominic Nutter took 1st in the Weight Throw.

After winter break, the team will all be together at the Spire Institute on Jan. 20th!

FOR THE CAVS AT GVSU

  • Micah Gremling finished 3rd in the 60m. His time was 6.83s, which is a Provo mark and currently 21st in the nation.
  • Kya Epps finished 2nd in the 60m and 200m. Her times were 7.44s, which is a PR, and 24.46s respectively. Both are Provo marks and are currently 6th and 11th in the nation.
  • Claire Martin PR'd and finished 2nd in the Triple Jump. Her distance was 11.78m or 38'7.75", which is a Provo mark and currently 16th in the nation.

FOR THE CAVS AT MOUNT UNION

  • Brody Pumneo PR'd and finished 2nd in the 800m. His time was 1:56.02.
  • Gregory McKee finished 5th in the 800m. His time was 2:03.51.
  • Kayden Schoelles PR'd and finished 1st in the Mile. His time was 4:40.58.
  • O'Rhen Martin PR'd and finished 5th in the 60m Hurdles. His time was 8.96s.
  • Trevor Bean, Oakley Kemp, Richard Nunley, and Gavin Henry rand the 4x200m relay. Their time was 1:37.29.
  • Dominic Nutter finished 1st in the Weight Throw. His distance was 19.90m or 65'3.5", which is currently 5th in the nation.
  • Colton Ferrucci finished 4th in the Weight Throw. His distance was 16.22m or 53'2.75".
  • Julie White PR'd and finished 4th in the 500m. Her time was 1:25.09.
  • Toni Denmark finished 3rd and 5th in the High Jump and 60m Hurdles. Her height was 1.57m or 5'1.75" and her time was 9.99s.
  • Anna Negulic finished 2nd in the Triple Jump and 5th in the Long Jump. Her distances were 10.67m or 35'0.25" and 5.24m or 17'2.25".
  • Tatum Miller PR'd and finished 3rd in the Shotput. Her distance was 12.23m or 40'1.5".
