VIRGINIA BEACH, VA: 3 Cavaliers competed in the NCAA DII Indoor National Championship Meet at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, March 13th and 14th. Heading into the meet,
Joel Brown, 2x G-MAC Champion, was first in the country in the Heptathlon. Representing Walsh with Brown was
Brody Pumneo and
Tatum Miller.
Joel Brown earned National Runner Up, finishing 2nd in the Heptathlon with 5489 points. This was a personal best and a new school record. Joel's best coming in was also a school record at 5479, set this season at Kent State. The National Champions score was 5611. This finish also earned Joel First Team All-American status.
Tatum Miller had a Second Team All-American performance, finishing 12th in the Weight Throw. Her throw was 18.25m.
Brody Pumneo finished 14th in 800m with a time of 1:51.37.
