CAVALIERS OVERCOME SLOW START TO CLAIM VICTORY OVER CEDARVILLE

NORTH CANTON, OH- The Walsh University Women's Basketball team locked in win number 11 on the season as they took down the Yellow Jackets from Cedarville University. The Cavaliers improve to 11-16 overall and 9-10 in the conference. 

LOCATION: North Canton, OH ( Alumni Arena )

SCORE: Walsh 69, Cedarville 62

RECORDS: Walsh( 11-16, 9-10 ), Cedarville ( 7-18, 5-14 )

FOR THE CAVALIERS: 
  • Freshmen, Kylie Dyrlund, led the way for the Cavaliers with 24 total points, a career collegiate high. 
  • Dyrlund also added 7 rebounds and 2 steals.
  • Morgan McMillen added another double-double to her career stat line after she posted 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
  • Lauren Galaska tallied 10 points for the maroon and gold and grabbed 4 boards.
  • Galaska also added 2 assists and 1 steal.
  • Fifth year guard, Lexie Scarton pulled down 11 rebounds and was just one assist shy of tying the all-time record in assists for the program.
  • Scarton also contributed 8 points and 2 steals.
The maroon and gold head up North to take on the Storm from Lake Erie at 1:00pm.
