CAVS CLINCH #6 SEED, SCARTON BREAKS THE CAREER ASSIST RECORD IN WIN

PAINESVILLE, OH: It was an exciting afternoon for the Walsh Women's Basketball Team. The Maroon and Gold won their last regular season contest, secured the #6 seed in the G-MAC tournament, and Lexie Scarton tallied a season game high,13 assists, to break the career assist record. The contest was a battle through the first two quarters but the Cavs dominated the final two. The Women shot 50% from the field and 42.9% from three point to secure their 10th G-MAC victory. The Cavs finish their regular season .500 in the conference. That was good enough to be the six seed in the G-MAC tournament. Walsh will travel to Nashville to face the number three seed, Trevecca, in a quarterfinal match up, on Tuesday, 2/28. Ashland is the number one seed heading into the tournament.
