PAINESVILLE, OH: It was an exciting afternoon for the Walsh Women's Basketball Team. The Maroon and Gold won their last regular season contest, secured the #6 seed in the G-MAC tournament, and
Lexie Scarton tallied a season game high,13 assists, to break the career assist record. The contest was a battle through the first two quarters but the Cavs dominated the final two. The Women shot 50% from the field and 42.9% from three point to secure their 10th G-MAC victory. The Cavs finish their regular season .500 in the conference. That was good enough to be the six seed in the G-MAC tournament. Walsh will travel to Nashville to face the number three seed, Trevecca, in a quarterfinal match up, on Tuesday, 2/28. Ashland is the number one seed heading into the tournament.

FOR THE CAVS
- Morgan McMillen led all scorers with 29 points. She shot 70% from 3 point and 50% from the field.
- Lexie Scarton secured another double double and was two rebounds short of a triple double. Her stat line consisted of 12 points. 13 assists, and eight rebounds.
- Kiley Dyrlund had another explosive game with 17 points and seven rebounds. She was 8-9 from the field.

- Abby Matalavage had 22 points.
- Angela Fink had a double double with 15 points and 12 assists.
