NORTH CANTON, OH- The Walsh University Men's Lacrosse team had a throwdown with the Lake Erie Storm on Wednesday (March 22). In the first few minutes of the second quarter, Lake Erie would score four times to find themselves taking the lead, but Walsh's offense would find the net to tie the game, 7-7, going into the half. The third quarter would be all Storm as they scored four goals with the Cavaliers only scoring twice. The Storms offense and defense came out strong again in the fourth quarter, outplaying the Cavs, resulting in a tough loss for their first conference game of the season. The Cavaliers would move to 2-5 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.

SCORE: Lake Erie 16, Walsh 12 

RECORD: Lake Erie 2-6 (1-0), Walsh 2-5 (0-1)  

FOR THE CAVALIERS:  

• Evan Stertz had a team high seven points with four goals and three assists. He also tallied nine shots and picked up one ground ball on the night.  

• Hudson Dennill had three goals, with one ground ball, and one caused turnover. 

• Ty Pilkington found the net twice and added one assist.  

• Colby Bowman, John Kortowich, Tosh Pazuik each had one goal a piece. 

• Mike Sawulak and Joseph Rush led the Cavaliers with five ground balls each. 

• Coltin Wehr led the Cavaliers with two caused turnovers. 

• Alex Movshin had ten saves in goal. 

Walsh will head to Grand Rapids, MI on Saturday, March 25th to take on the Panthers of Davenport University at 2pm.
