CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY: The Walsh Women's Basketball team took their two game win streak down to Thomas More this evening. Previously defeating 2nd place Ursuline College last Saturday, the young Maroon and Gold squad looked to keep their winning ways alive. A strong, 15 point, second quarter, kept the contest close. The Saints came out of the half making 7-8 free throws and shooting 50% from the field to outscore Walsh, 20-5. After that, the home team never looked back, as they defeated the Cavaliers, 54-40.
A tough shooting night didn't help the Cavaliers efforts as they shot 28.8% from the floor and only made three 3 pointers. The Thomas More bench outscored the Walsh bench, 36-8.
The Women will continue their roadtrip as they face Kentucky Wesleyan College on Saturday at 1pm.
