COLUMBUS, OH: The Cavalier Women's Basketball team dropped a tough G-MAC game vs the Ohio Dominican Panthers this afternoon, 59-51. This was the Panthers first win in conference play, coming into the contest with a 0-4 record in the Great Midwest. The Maroon and Gold competed tough but the 2nd and 3rd quarters proved to be the difference as they were outscored 12-9 and 15-11 in each.
The Cavs held the Panthers to no three pointers but were outscored 36-26 with points in the paint. Walsh also struggled from the charity stripe, going 8-17, 47.1%.
The team will look to bounce back and snap their 5 game losing streak at rival, Malone, on Thursday. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
