MAROON AND GOLD LOSE TO CEDARVILLE

CEDARVILLE, OH - The Walsh University women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 defeat against Cedarville University in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match on Thursday evening at Yellow Jacket Field. Despite a valiant effort, the Cavaliers were unable to break through Cedarville's strong defense.

Cedarville took control early, with Shaylee Earnheart opening the scoring in the 38th minute. The Yellow Jackets quickly doubled their lead just three minutes later when Alyssa Griner found the back of the net, assisted by Earnheart and Addie Erslan.

The home team sealed their victory early in the second half, as Payton Fraley scored Cedarville's third goal in the 51st minute, with Maddie McConnell providing the assist. Despite the scoreline, the match was closely contested in terms of shots, with both teams recording 8 attempts.
