CAVS COME OUT ON TOP AGAINST URSULINE

NORTH CANTON, OH - The Walsh University women's soccer team secured a thrilling 2-1 victory against Ursuline College in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match on Thursday evening at Larry Staudt Field. The Cavaliers showed resilience, coming from behind to clinch the win.

Ursuline struck first, with Nicola Ehrbar finding the net in the 12th minute, assisted by Julia Moroz. Despite falling behind early, Walsh dominated possession and created numerous chances, out shooting their opponents 29-5 over the course of the match.

The Cavaliers' persistence paid off in the second half when Katie Corrigan equalized in the 61st minute. Just four minutes later, Ramsey Smith scored what proved to be the winning goal, completing Walsh's comeback.
Walsh's goalkeeper, O'Malley Quinlan, made one crucial save to preserve the lead. On the other end, Ursuline's goalkeeper put in a valiant effort, making 13 saves throughout the match. The game saw one yellow card issued in the second half, with Walsh's Ally Stein receiving a caution in the 80th minute.

This victory improves Walsh's record as they prepare for their next match against Tiffin University on October 26th at 12:00 PM in Tiffin, OH.
