NORTH CANTON, OH - The Walsh University Cavaliers secured a commanding 90-60 victory over Bryant & Stratton College (OH) in their home game at Alumni Arena on November 26, 2024. This win improved Walsh's record to 2-2 overall and marked a significant step forward in their quest for momentum this season, while Bryant & Stratton fell to 0-3.
From the opening tip, Walsh showcased their offensive firepower and defensive tenacity. The Cavaliers quickly established control of the game, building a substantial lead of 40-26 by halftime. Their ability to move the ball effectively and create open shots was evident, as they connected on 29 field goals, including 15 three-pointers.
Kobe Mitchell was the standout performer for Walsh, delivering an electrifying performance with 30 points on 9-of-16 shooting. His sharpshooting from beyond the arc (7-of-12) kept the Cavaliers' momentum rolling. Additionally, Mitchell contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds to secure a double-double.
Zack Oddo also had a remarkable game, not only scoring 19 points but also dominating the glass with an impressive 18 rebounds. His presence in the paint was crucial for Walsh, allowing them to control the tempo and limit Bryant & Stratton's second-chance opportunities.
