NORTH CANTON, OH: Despite having three women score in double figures, the Walsh Women's Basketball team lost to Northwood University, yesterday, 78-63. Early foul trouble was no help as
Kiley Dyrlund and
Lauren Galaska found themselves on the bench with three fouls in the first half. They would go on to only score 8 points in the 2nd quarter with Dyrlund and Galaska on the bench. Poor shooting in the first half, going 2-12 from three and only 31% floor was no help as the Maroon and Gold were down 20 points most of the game. They were able to make a small run to cut the deficit to 14 in the 4th quarter.
Walsh will head to Ashland University on Thursday night to face the #1 team in the country at 5:30pm. They will then look to avenge an early season OT loss against rival, Malone, in the Mayor's Cup on Saturday in Alumni Arena.
