EVANSVILLE, IN: Softball headed to Evansville Indiana to play in the Blue Bridge Battle hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan. The Cavs played in four games over the two days in a tournament that included 58 teams. Walsh would end up going 1-3 on the weekend with a win over Missouri S&T and losses to Quincy, Davenport, and Drury.

FOR THE CAVS GAME 1 - QUINCY

• Leah Musall had two hits in four at-bats including an RBI single in the first inning
• Sarah Moats had 2 hits in her three plate appearances in the game.
• Jaelyn Peterson entered the game in relief and went 2.2 innings while allowing 0 earned runs.

FOR THE CAVS GAME 2 - DAVENPORT

• Sarah Cantley doubled to left field in the bottom of the first inning.
• Olivia Betson pitched 5.2 innings, struck out 5 batters and gave up 3 earned runs.
• Chloe Sayre pitched in relief and struck out 3 batters while giving up no runs.

FOR THE CAVS GAME 3 - DRURY

• Sarah Moats had 2 hits in three at-bats including an RBI single in the 1^st inning.
• McKenzee Roseburrough had an RBI double to right center in the 5^th inning that drove in Jenna Jaffee. 
• Maci Smythe pitched 2 innings in relief and gave up only 1 hit and no runs.

FOR THE CAVS GAME 4 – MISSOURI S&T

• Sydney McKeever had 3 hits in 4 at-bats including her fist double of the year to lead off the game.
• Sarah Moats had 2 hits and 3 RBIs including a double to left center in the 6^th inning that scored 2. She also scored 3 times herself. 
• Sarah Cantley also had 3 RBIs for the game including a single to right in the 6^th inning that drove in 2 runs.
• Maci Smythe picked up the win after pitching 2 innings and allowing no runs on just 2 hits.

 
Next up, Walsh will travel to Melbourne, FL over spring break to play in the Space Coast Spring Games.
